If you are not using Email marketing you are leaving money on the table. Absolutely no question about it. If you are not using Email Automations in your business you are also missing easy (ie automated) sales.

It can totally change how you market your product business. It’s not just about automating to make it easier; it’s also about making a difference in your sales. In this episode I share 5 automations you should have set up when you begin using an email management system (I personally recommend Klaviyo or Flodesk for ecommerce and Retail stores.

Five Email Automations You Need For Your Ecommerce Business.

1. Welcome Sequence Emails

Create a sequence for new subscribers to go through when they sign up for your email list. These usually consist of 4-6 emails over the course of 7-10 days to get them well acquainted with your business.

2. Abandon Cart Emails

Set up an email to automatically send to subscribers when they have something in their cart they haven’t purchased yet. This acts as a reminder for them of what they shopped for before and might even lead to a sale.

3. Browser Abandonment Emails

Automatically send an email to subscribers when they viewed an item multiple times and ask if they are still thinking about it. This prompts them to make a decision about purchasing the item. If your subscriber did think about the item, be ready for another sale to come your way!

4. Post-Purchase Emails

After someone buys an item from you, send them a follow-up to thank them and see how the product is working for them. Doing this creates a positive customer experience and might even lead to them making another purchase.

5. The Forever Sequence.

I am sure you have at least 4-6 emails you sent previously as a weekly/monthly email that is gold. One of your best performing emails or best stories or best blog write ups? Grab these from your system and put into your Forever sequence so your new subscribers see some of you best past emails! Don’t select time sensitive ones (ie Mothers Day) or if you have limited stock of those products now. Schedule them to go out over the next 1-12 months for any new subscribers.

Creating automated emails to be sent to your subscribers for any of the previous reasons makes it easier on you and can generate sales while you sleep!
